MYTH #1 - REST HELPS THE PAIN
The first is that rest helps the pain. None of them are true, they are all manufactured stories. Todd is here to tell you that rest doesn't help anything. It's not the answer. Motion is lotion. He believes that getting you back to doing whatever you want to do is the biggest piece of the puzzle.
MYTH #2 - IT'S JUST PART OF GETTING OLD
Myth number two is that it's part of getting old. What does that mean? What is part of getting old? Todd's biggest thought is that as we get older, we need to do more activities and move more every year than we did the previous year. It doesn’t mean we have to stop anything; part of getting older is learning different methods.
MYTH #3 - BACK PAIN RUNS IN THE FAMILY
Myth number three to debunk is that it runs in the family or is just part of having a certain job or down to doing a certain activity. Todd is here to tell you that it doesn't matter if it runs on the family because that is just another way of saying there’s no hope. So just because your father or your grandmother had it in the past, doesn't mean that you're going to have it in the future.
